Empire State Building Open between 9:30 AM and 12:00 midnight (the last elevator goes 11:15 PM). The cheapest adult ticket costs $14.00. Waiting times during the day can be up to several hours. 
The Empire State Building’s observation floor is 320 meters above street level. Every year over 3.5 million people visit the building to take advantage of its unbeatable view. It was here that Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan met in the romantic movie "Sleepless in Seattle". Construction on the building began in 1930 and the total cost ended up at around 41 million.dollars. The building’s highest point is 443.2 meters above sea level. Around opening time and towards lunch there tends to be a massive crowd of tourists waiting in line to ride up to the top. Later in the evening around 10:00 – 11:00 PM it becomes pretty easy to get to the top without significant waiting lines. That is, of course, dependent a whole lot on the season and so forth.
